A popular dining destination in downtown Mystic since 2011, Oyster Club wanted to better align its interiors with the ethos of the restaurant: connecting farm to sea to table. The original kitchen was very small and completely concealed from view, and the restaurant was restricted by the number of seats in the dining room. Oyster Club wanted a larger, well-laid out kitchen so that patrons could observe the energy and activity of their food being prepared and feel connected to the process. We altered and expanded the existing spaces to create visual connections across the bar, open kitchen, and dining room, added a second-floor dining room, and updated the finishes and fixtures to make the renovation feel like a natural extension of the original interiors.
