STONINGTON CT HOME
Built in 1900, this originally two bedroom, one bath home needed updates and expansions to accommodate a growing family.
A rear two-story addition expands the kitchen space at ground level and adds a third bedroom and second full bathroom on the second floor. Eliminating a redundant hallway on the first floor adds a powder room and large openings connect the main living spaces.
The design emphasizes views from one space to another and focuses on enhancing natural light and ventilation. Original moldings are preserved within the original structure while more contemporary details are introduced in the addition.
